Who is this course for?
Every area of work needs people who can carry out administrative tasks and have good IT skills so Admin would be an ideal subject to apply for. This course will develop your ICT skills to a high standard and provide you with valuable skills in the world of work.
What Entry Requirements are there?,
In S2 October tracking, having secured:
Level 02.A - A few benchmarks achieved at L3 or better in Mathematics
Tell me some basic information about the course
The main units are Practical ICT Skills (using word processing, databases, spreadsheets; organising information), Communication (collecting, sharing and presenting information), Organising an Event (administrative tasks to organise and support small-scale events and meetings).
In S4, pupils will complete two units: Administrative Theory in the Workplace (duties and skills of an administrator, customer care, looking after employee health, safety and security, property, corporate image), IT Applications (Using a range of software to organise, process and present information). Your teacher can update you further when you are in S4.

How will I be assessed?
In S3, pupils are assessed on an ongoing basis.
Current S4 pupils are assessed by an SQA exam and an assignment. Your teachers can update you on the details of these assessments in S4.
