Enrolment Information

Most students join us at the end of their P7, and from one of our cluster primary schools.  These are:

• Chapel Of Garioch Primary

• Hatton Of Fintray Primary

• Keithhall Primary

• Kellands Primary

• Newmachar Primary* (students from Newmachar Primary are zoned for Dyce Academy)

• Oyne Primary

• Port Elphinstone Primary

• Strathburn Primary

• Uryside Primary

We also have two schools with ‘dual zone’ status for Inverurie Academy; Insch Primary School and Kinellar Primary School.

There is a comprehensive programme in place to support young people in getting ready to transition to academy life, and this involves work within P7 classes, and with mixed school groups from across the cluster.  Information and the necessary documentation will be shared with you through the primary school you are associated with, and during our information evenings.  

If you wish to make an application for a young person who does not currently attend one of the above schools to join us from P7, please telephone the school in order to discuss this with Dr Drysdale  (DHT).

If your son/daughter is already of Academy age and you wish for them to enrol with us, please telephone the school in order to discuss this with Dr Drysdale (DHT).  We recognise that every young person has different needs and talents, and so will work with you in order to help ensure that their transition is as easy as possible.  It is helpful to give as much notice of any planned enrolment request as is possible.

We will provide hard copies of all necessary documentation in advance of a formal enrolment meeting, but to help you to know what to expect copies are available below:
