Suitable for learners with an interest in Production. Pupils can choose any of the following routes within the course: performing, costume, hair & make up, set, lighting and sound.

In S2 October tracking, having secured:
Level 02.A - A few benchmarks achieved at L3 or better in Drama
Tell me some basic information about the course
Pupils will learn in a series of workshops the skills in acting, lighting, sound, hair & make-up, costume and set design and use a text or create their own imaginative plots, to help them explore a stimulus using a production skill of their choice.
What Skills will I develop?
Pupils will continue to build on previous knowledge on drama terminology that was taught within the S1 and S2 courses.
Other life long skills that are developed in drama are communication, creativity, collaboration, problem solving, leadership, resilience and confidence.
How will I be assessed?
The candidate can be assessed in either acting OR a production role.
If candidates choose to do the performing route they will be required to do a 20 minute performance with a short written essay . In the written paper candidates are required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of creating drama by responding to one of the stimuli provided.
If candidates choose to do a production role they will be assessed in their chosen field by supporting the performing candidates. These candidates will also be required to complete the written paper.

Higher Drama, NPA Acting and Performance, NPA Technical Theatre in Practice, College, University.
