Who is this course for?
Pupils who are engaged and motivated to learning about the subject of Music. Pupils will be required to perform on two instruments however, private music lessons are not necessary.

In S2 October tracking, having secured:
Level 02.C - Most benchmarks achieved at L3 or better in Music

Units in Performing Skills, on two selected instruments, one of which may be voice, Musicianship, Composing Skills and Understanding Music in which pupils listen to a variety of music styles to develop
concepts and music literacy.
Unit 1. Performing Skills on two selected instruments, one of which may be voice. Unit 2. Composing Skills in which pupils will experiment and use compositional methods with music concepts Unit 3. Understanding Music in which pupils listen to a variety of music styles to develop concepts and music literacy.
What Skills will I develop?
Performing Skills on two selected instruments. Composing Skills using compositional methods with
music concepts.
How will I be assessed?
Through regular practice and reflection learners will develop their technical and musical skills. Pupils will also be expected to reflect on their performance skills.
