Studying at College (Further Education or FE) provides technical and professional education and training that directly prepares you for the workplace.  College courses range from the same kind of things you might study at school through to a range of qualifications that bridge the level of demand of school courses and university courses.  Common qualifications are HNC (Higher National Certificate, SCQF Level 7) and HND (Higher National Diploma - SCQF Level 8)
